Obituary of Annie Kelly
KELLY, Annie “Nan” – Peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, November 7, 2008, Nan died at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late James for 54 years. Loved mother of Kathleen and husband Bill Rennie, Aileen and husband Jim Devlin, and Anne and husband Mike St. Germain. Proud grandmother of Paul and wife Janine Devlin, Brian Devlin and girlfriend Diane Spowart, Kelly and husband Jim O’Rourke, Kirsty Rennie and husband Kam Kunuram, Scott Devlin and fiancée Carley Warner, Michelle, Danielle and Michael St. Germain, not forgetting loving dog “Bounce”; and great-grandmother of Liam and Sean O’Rourke, Connor Devlin, the sunshines of her life. Lifelong “pal” of May Boyle, Scotland, and devoted friend of Marlene Dempsey. Predeceased by sisters Nellie Craig, Bridie Donnelly, brothers James and Johnny Gallagher. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Uppal, a very special doctor and friend who honoured mum’s final wishes. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Matthew Bedard at St. Benedict’s Church on Tuesday, November 11th at 10 a.m. with cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Nan Kelly in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
