Obituary of Benoit Chaisson

CHIASSON, Benoit “Ben” – At Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Saturday, October 11, 2008, Ben died at the age of 63 after a short illness. Beloved husband of Gilberte (Richard) for 37 years. Loving father of Rene of Sarnia and Michel of Rosemere, Quebec. Dear brother of Paul (Rose), Aubin (Lynne), Francois (Jade) and Lina (Réal) all of Quebec and survived by his aunt Rose Richard of Sarnia. Also Survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law including Ben & Betty Richard of Sarnia. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Quebec and Sarnia. Predeceased by parents Wilfrid & Germaine Chiasson and brothers Germain and Rene. Special thanks to Dr. Taylor and the nurses on 2 East at Mitton Street and Dr. Madison and the nurses of Palliative at Norman Street. Ben was a member of Local 95 Insulators Union since 1968 and St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Quebec. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Point Edward, N7V 1A6 or the charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Benoit Chiasson in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
