Obituary of Gerard Joseph Georges Amyot

AMYOT, GERRY – The family announces with deep sadness the death of our loved one Gerry, age 69 who died peacefully at Bluewater Health – Norman Site, Sarnia on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his former spouse Shirley, Sarnia & their children Brenda Allen (Dave), Courtright, Ontario, Roly (Angela), Ottawa and Steven (Tamara), Savannah, Georgia. Proud grandfather of Jeremy (Morgan) and Timothy (Melanie) Allen. Dear brother of Roland (Claire), North Bay, Raymond, North Bay, Yvette Corriveau (Jacques), Belle River and Colette Corbeil (Ed), London. Predeceased by his former companion Patricia Amyot, North Bay. He is also survived by his step-daughter Julie (Wayne) & their daughters MacKenzie and Brooklyn, North Bay. He will be sadly missed by his four-legged buddy “Tetley”. In respect of Gerry’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. After 23 of service with the Military, Gerry retired then went on to work at Canada Border Services Agency (formerly Canada Customs) in Sarnia where he gave another 23 years of service. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful caring staff on the 4th floor of the Palliative Unit. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Unit, Bluewater Health, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Point Edward, N7V 1A6 would be appreciated.
