LAMOUREUX, Regent "Reg" – Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather & friend, Reg passed away peacefully on Thursday August 28, 2014 at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish his memory are his best friend and loving wife of 60 years Marina (Warren), daughter Diane (Nazim) Virani of Toledo, sons Ron (Brenda) of Watford and Norm of Sarnia, grandchildren Shalina (Chris) Freeman, Taj (Lisa) Virani, Robert (Ruth) Lamoureux, Laura (Kyle) Kelly and Ashley (Daniel) Morrison and his great-grandchildren Keign, Hudson, Marissa, Eva, Jacob, Nixon and Morgan. Also surviving are his brother Real (Gisele) and sisters Laurence (Andre) Wathier, Therese (Armand) Gibeault and Ange Aimee (Real) Plamondom. Predeceased by a grandson Amin Virani (2009), parents Emilien & Euphrasie Lamoureux, brothers Armand, Aldeo and Adrien, and sisters Adelia, Jeanne, Marie Anna and Emerentienne. Reg retired in 1994 as an electrician with Local 530 after 40 years of service working in the local refineries. He was a happy go lucky fellow who always brought a smile to your face and was handy with advice and help, from plumbing to electrical and anything in between. He was always there if you needed an extra hand. Reg loved to travel with his camper and took many family vacations across Canada and the U.S. When at home he enjoyed golfing, tending his beloved vegetable garden and walks. He always said he had a great life and anything past 80 was gravy. We're pretty sure he is up there finding something that needs fixing. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Allison Crombeen and the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice for their exceptional help, kindness and assistance. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, (519-344-3131). As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, 115 John St., Sarnia, N7T 2R1 or St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 N. Christina St., Sarnia, N7T 5W3.
