Obituary of Stella Gradziel

GRADZIEL, Stella (Stanislawa) – At Sumac Lodge on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Jozef. Dear mother of Walter & his former wife Hillary, Brampton and Teresa Young & her husband Dillon, Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Jason, David & his wife Katie and Ryan (Jessica) Gradziel and Dillon, Shannon, Jeffrey (Vanessa) and Cassandra Young. Also survived by several family members in Poland. Born in Zbiersk, Poland, Stella and her family came to Canada following the war. Stella worked in the Housekeeping Dept. at Sarnia General Hospital for many years. Her Roman Catholic faith was very important to her. She was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Women’s League. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Z. Rodzinka at 11 a.m. on Monday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
