Obituary of Raymond Alexander Martin

MARTIN, Raymond Alexander – At his home, on Monday, August 25, 2008, Raymond died at the age of 56. Beloved husband of Janice Avery Martin. Loving father of the late Raymond Avery Martin (1999) and William Linklater. Proud grandpa of Jasmine Linklater. Cherished son of Vera Martin and the late Peter Martin. Dear brother of Grace Martin (David Hodgess), John Martin, Jane Martin (Rocky Sinclair), Richard Martin, Charlene Martin (Mike Fabish), late Jimmy Martin (Lorna), and Howard Martin (Lori). Brother in law of Abby Avery (George Orsini) and special uncle of Nicholas Olynyk. Son in law of Geraldine and Aurelle Hebert. Godfather of Brendan Martin and Felicia Lockridge and special uncle to Nancie Rogers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was dedicated to the Union of Ontario Indians, Southern First Nations Secretariat, Indian Hills Golf Course, and the Ted Nolan Foundation. The funeral service will be officiated by the Rev. Nick Wells and the Rev. Mathew Stevens at St. George’s Anglican Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 28th. Interment to follow at Aamjiwnaang Cemetery.
