van RASSEL, Lillian Elvina (Ringstead) - It is with deep regret that the family of Lillian announce her passing at Vision Nursing Home on Monday, May 5, 2008, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of 67 years of the late Gerald van Rassel (2005). Much loved mother of Brenda Stack and her husband John, Sandra Duguay and her husband Renaud, the late Bryan (2002) and his wife Barbara van Rassel, and the late Michael (1956). Proud and loving grandma of Lori Duguay, Shelli and Rob Trella, Bryan Stack and his friend Bonnie Dunn, Mark and Janet Stack, all of Sarnia, Paul and Trish Stack of Penetang, Pete and Jodie van Rassel of London, Greg and Lise van Rassel of Montreal, Sherry and Kerr Boath of Calgary and Rick and Sandy van Rassel of Calgary. Special great-grandma of James, Mitchell, Kyle, Megan, Brandon, Erin, Cole, Ashley, Jordan, Brittany, Cody, Dallas and Ben. Dear sister in law of Pierrette and Robert van Rassel, Audrey Belec and Mayanne van Rassel. Also loved and missed by several nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by her sisters Nell Gamelin and Violet Ringstead, and brothers Henry, Edgar and Walter Ringstead. She was the first school bus driver for the New Hope School for mentally handicapped. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Thursday, May 8th from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at St. Benedict’s Church on Friday, May 9th. Funeral time to be confirmed. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
