FITZGERALD, Yvonne Ana Marion – At The Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, Ontario, on Friday 19th September, 2014. Yvonne died peacefully at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Terry Fitzgerald. Loving mother of Patricia McDougall (Shelagh Sully) of Bayfield, Ontario, Alison Fitzgerald (Hank Sirlin) of Gabriola Island, B.C., and the late Bill Fitzgerald (Kathy) of Stouffville, Ontario. Proud grandmother of Linda McDougall (Mark Anderson), Marion McDougall (James Grossi), Bryan Fitzgerald (Amy), Terry Fitzgerald (Liz) and Megan Fitzgerald (Bryan); great-grandmother of Thomas, William and Ella. Dear sister of the late Nance Corbett and the late John Walker; and aunt of David, Susan and Margie (UK), Anne, Keith, Ian and Paul. Yvonne was the District Commissioner for Lambton Girl Guides, taught ESL in Paris, France and at Lambton College, and was a warden at St. Bartholomew's Church, Sarnia and a member of the Heretics, volunteered at the Inn of the Good Shepherd and for Rebound. She had a joyous, gallant and generous spirit, was known for her unfailing cheerfulness and brought pleasure to many people. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Bayfield, Ontario on Monday 29th September 2014 at 11 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
