SOULLIERE, Barbara Joan – At Marshall Gowland Manor on Saturday, March 8, 2008, Barb died at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Soulliere (July 14, 1980). Loving mother of Martha (the late Cavan) Jones, Sarnia, Edward (Elizabeth) Soulliere, Mt. Brydges, William (Marian), Sarnia, Joan (Greg) Gates, Barrie, the late Eugene Soulliere, Richard (Donna) Soulliere, Waterloo, James (Teresa) Soulliere, Kitchener, and Janet (George) Tancrede, Sarnia. Proud grandmother of Douglas, Joseph, Catherine, Melissa (Richard), Jessica (Mike), Alaric, Edward, Kenndal Soulliere, Terri (Dave), and Tim (Danielle) Dagg, Gary Gates, and Michael and Joan Tancrede; and great-grandmother of Christopher, Emilee, Tyler, Caitlyn, and Lawrence. Dear sister of Geraldine (the late Nelson) Sherman, San Diego, California, and the late Robert Miller (the late Edna); and sister-in-law of Patricia (Hugh) Gaudet, Calgary. Barb was a life long member of the CWL, worked many years at Sears, and in her later years was the president of Residence Council at Marshall Gowland. Barb was very excited about the new home and was there for the groundbreaking ceremony, active in ticket sales for the council, a bingo caller, bingo dabber, and enjoyed happy hour with her friends. Special thanks to the all the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor, especially Wendy, Dwayne, Kerry, Julie, Maureen, Sylvia, and Shelley. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Tuesday, March 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Matthew Bedard at St. Benedict’s Church on Wednesday, March 12th at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Residence Council, c/o Marshall Gowland Manor, 749 Devine St., Sarnia N7T 1X3.
