MORRISSEY, Francis Irving – Suddenly at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Dickie). Dear father of David Morrissey, Hamilton ON, Mary (Robert McLaren) Morrissey, Halifax NS, John (Sharon) Morrissey, Owen Sound ON and Susan (Randall) Tuck, Staples ON. Loving grandfather of Lauren, Caitlin and Talia Morrissey, Kelsey McLaren, Clara, Patrick and Julia Morrissey and Jennifer, Sarah and Patrick Tuck. Brother-in-law of Jacqueline Morrissey. Uncle of Lisa Wiehle and Catherine Walker.  Predeceased by brother John. 1942-1945 Flight Lieutenant RCAF, 1944 -1945 P.O.W. Stalag Luft 1. Graduate Queens University, Science 1949.   Irving had a career in management and mechanical engineering: Plant Manager, Parkdale Works, Stelco (Hamilton); Superintendent of Engineering, Hiram Walker and Sons (Windsor); and General Project Manager, Petrosar (Sarnia). Irv was an avid golfer, traveller, and photographer, and skilled water colour painter. The family will welcome friends and colleagues at a reception and celebration of Irv’s life at the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club on Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the charity of their choice, or to Vision Nursing Home, 229 Wellington St., Sarnia, N7T 1G9.
