Obituary of Rocco Gioiosa

GIOIOSA, Rocco – At Marshall Gowland Manor on Saturday, December 11, 2010, Rocco died at the age of 83.  Beloved husband of Rosa for 55 years. Loving father of Henry Gioiosa and Anthony Gioiosa (Wendy DeSchutter).  Dear brother of Antonio (Christina) Gioiosa, Mike (Lina) Gioiosa, Lena (Antonio) Basacco, and the late Donato (Lucia) Gioiosa.  Rocco will be sadly missed by his extended family in Canada, United States and Italy.  Predeceased by his parents Vito and Maria Gioiosa and his niece Mary Lou Hanson.  Rocco was the proud President of Candida Holdings (Sarnia) Limited and a member of the Dante Club.  Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ross Bartley at St. Benedict’s Church on Thursday, December 16th at 11 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
