Obituary of Floyd Harvey Payne
PAYNE, Floyd Harvey – At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Saturday, April 2, 2011, Floyd died at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Anne Chrapko-Payne. Loving father of Brian (Jane) Payne, Gale Fortney, Deborah Payne (Steve Joyce) and Linda Tyler; and step-father of Marianne (David) Clift, Jerry (Ingrid) Stevens, Lucy (Raymond) Lariviere, Chuck (Carol) Chrapko and Stacey (Paul) Howell. Proud grandfather of Rachael (Jeff) DeBruin, Lisa, Sean and Daniel Payne, Michelle Fortney, Austin Boone, Patrick and Samantha Tyler, Rhiannon, Allison and Jack Clift, Jennifer (Jeff) Fynn, Daniel Stevens, Tonya (Aaron) Cianchette, Ryan and Melissa Tirey, Taylor and John Chrapko, Amanda, Jessica, Samuel and Joseph Howell; and great-grandfather to eleven grandchildren. Dear brother of Murray (Florene) Payne. Floyd was well known for his real estate business, Floyd Anne Realty, and in recent years was an associate broker with Remax Sarnia. He was known and loved by children in our community for anonymously handing out harmonicas. Over the years, Floyd and Anne were also known for their dancing at the Bridge Tavern and their card playing. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, April 7th at 10 a.m. Interment Lakeview Cemetery.
