Obituary of Gerald Sr. McCormick

McCORMICK, Gerald Sr. - At Marshall Gowland Manor on Thursday, April 14, 2011, Gerald died peacefully with family by his side at the age of 83.  Beloved husband of the late Veronica (2009) for 56 years.  Loving father of Jim McCormick, Jerry (Debbie) McCormick, Cindy (Jerry) O'Neil, Patty (Dave) Round, and Mike (Jen) McCormick.  Proud grandfather of Shannon, Joel, Jody, Krissy, Becky, Natalie, Jennifer, JD “Jake”, Lisa, Ashley and Bryce; and great-grandfather of nine.  Dear brother-in-law of Betty McCormick, Ernie (Joyce) Redden, Earl (Jill) Redden and Edith (Robin) Chemago, Edmonton.  Predeceased by his parents James and Maude and his brothers Bill (1954) and Jim (2002).  Gerald retired from the Pipefitters Local 663 after many years of service.  Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor for their care, compassion and friendship.  Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday, April 18th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ross Bartley at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Tuesday, April 19th at 11 a.m.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Down Syndrome Association of Lambton County, c/o 129 Kendall St, Pt.
