DIAS, Armando  – At Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor on Sunday, May 15, 2011, Armando died peacefully with family by his side at the age of 81.  Beloved husband of Rufina for 56 years.  Loving father of Maria (Colin) Fairbairn, Helder Dias, Fatima (Manuel) Mendonca and Suzanna Dias.  Proud grandpa of Niel Fairbairn, Trevor and Nicholas Dias, Cassandra Mendonca (Ryan Michetti), Amanda (Dave) Johnson, Justine and Ryan Mendonca; and great-grandfather of Madden and Hadley Johnson.  Dear brother-in-law of Maria Rodrigues, Manuel (Celeste) de Almeida, and Celestino (Irma) Almeida, Emilia (Agustinho) Tavares.  Also survived by family in Canada and Portugal.  Armando retired from Imperial Oil after many years of service.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.  Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Sarnia on Thursday, May 19th at 11 a.m.  Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to a charity of their choice.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Armando Dias in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
