Obituary of Bette Eileen Calder

CALDER, Bette Eileen – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the age of 81 after a long battle with cancer.  Beloved wife of the late Murray T. Calder.  Loving mother of Randy Calder, Jeff Calder and Jan Robertson & her husband Gord all of Sarnia.  Proud grandmother of Logan Calder and Joel & Jill Robertson of Sarnia and Vanessa & Shannon Lindsay of Alberta.  Dear sister of Carol Gunnell of Hamilton.  Bette will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her brother William Jopson of Ancaster.  Bette enjoyed the simple things in life including gardening and camping with her family.  A special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health, Dr. Glen Maddison and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Cremation has taken place.  A graveside memorial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery (Glen Allen Dr. at Michigan Ave.) at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, officiated by Rev. Deanna Gibson.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.  As an expression of sympathy, friends and family who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N.
