Obituary of Philip Grant Palmer
PALMER, Philip Grant – With his family by his side at Bluewater Health on Sunday, September 4, 2011 Phil died at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Marilyn for 54 years. Loving father of David, Brian, Kenneth, and Ronald and his wife Tracey. Proud grandfather of Briar, Madison and Randi. Dear brother of Dorothy Jackson and Maxine Needham. Brother-in-law of, Don Arnold, Jean Knight (Doug) and Rita Silvestri (Nino); and son-in-law of Phyllis (Arnold) Meade. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Leanora Palmer; siblings Lillian Conlan, Anne Eskerod, Jack, Bert, George, and William Palmer and Gusse Dagg; and brother-in-law Bill Arnold. Phil worked for Polymer/Polysar/Nova Corporations for 39 years, was a member of the Central United “Century Club” and the Sarnia Golf Club. Phil loved to play golf, enjoyed many years fishing in the Kawartha Cottage area, and enjoyed taking care of his pool and beautiful yard. A Service of Reflection will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Tom Lever officiating. Interment at a later date.
