Obituary of Daniel Pacheco
PACHECO, Daniel – Passed away surrounded by his loving family at Bluewater Health on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the age of 58. Daniel was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal and came to Sarnia in 1975. Beloved husband of 35 years to Maria Ines Pacheco. Loving father to Danny Pacheco and his wife Janice of London and Cliff Pacheco and his wife Marcella of Sarnia. Dear grandfather to Cristiano Nuno, whom he loved and cherished dearly as his “Palerma” and soon-to-be Baby Pacheco #2. Loved Padrinho, Godfather to Matt Melo and Terry Aguiar. Predeceased by his parents Nuno and Liduina Pacheco. He will be dearly missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Known to many as “Coach”, he was an avid soccer fan who loved all his former players and especially “O Glorioso” S. L. Benfica. Daniel was a long time member of Local 1089, retiring after many years of service. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m where prayers will offered at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at St. Benedict’s Church on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made through memorial donations to the C.C.U., Bluewater Health, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3. A very special thanks to Dr. Shetty and Dr. Catenacci as well as the staff and volunteers of Bluewater Health C.C.U. for all the wonderful care and loving support they provided to our loved one.
A tree will be planted in memory of Daniel Pacheco in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area
