Obituary of Julia Mariuz

MARIUZ, Julia – On Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Bluewater Health, Julia Mariuz (nee Armellini) born October 26, 1912 in Espinola, Ontario, peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by husband Serafino (1977) and granddaughter Elena Minato (1969). Also predeceased by parents Giuseppe and Maria Armellini, and brothers and sisters Lena, Albert, Josie and Leo. She is survived by daughters Dorothy (Basil) Livingston, Claremont and Betty (Danilo) Minato, Bright’s Grove, grandchildren Donald (Natalie) Minato, Antony Livingston & partner Terra, Raymond (Alison) Minato and Gillian Livingston (Jeremy Barker). Also survived by great-grandchildren Brock, Alexander, Cassidy, Lucas, Tristan, Lucca and Lee. She is lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Vittoria Marinigh and Leonora Mariuz and by her many nieces & nephews, cousins and friends. Julia will be greatly missed by her family who all have a lifetime of fond, loving memories of her. She had an unwavering interest in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spoiled us all with her superb culinary skills. Her kind and generous heart touched many people during her long life. She was deeply loved and will be remembered by us all. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N. on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the United Way of Sarnia Lambton, 265 N.
