Obituary of Alice Eleanor Scripnick

SCRIPNICK, Alice Eleanor – At Bluewater Health on Sunday, November 13, 2011, Alice died peacefully with family by her side at the age of 85.  Beloved wife of the late Henry (1987).  Loving mother of Karen and her husband Kevin Cosgrove and Michele and her husband Allen Rodgers.  Proud Grams of Jacqueline, Sean, James, April, Matthew and Allen Jr. (Mandy); and great-grandma of Landen-James, Jack-Henri, Amanda, Sean, Morgan and Jacob.  Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Elizabeth Browne-Cadman, her brother Billy and sisters Dorothy and May.  Alice graduated from Timmins High and Vocational School in 1943 and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League.  Alice worked at Associates Finance and Chez Marcel Shoes for many years.  Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday from 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Kathemo Mukucha at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Friday, November 18th at 1 p.m.   Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Lung Association, 480 Egerton St., London, ON  N5W 3Z6 or a charity of their choice.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Alice Scripnick in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
