Obituary of Lumina Bacon
BACON, Lumina – Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late John Bacon. Dear mother of Joanne (Arnold) Bongers, Sarnia, Raymond (Mary Jane) Bacon, Bright’s Grove, Pat Bacon, Sarnia, Pauline (John) Vanderwal, Marthaville, Dave (Sue) Bacon, Corunna, Don (Kathy) Bacon, Sarnia, Diane Somerville, Sarnia, Al (Leone) Bacon, Sarnia and Angie (Mark) Verbeek, Wyoming. Loving grandmother of John Bongers, Tammy VanGrinsven, Craig and Cory Bacon, Jim, Jessica and Melanie Bacon, Justin and Tia Bongers, Cherrie Verwoert, Michelle Abram, Julia and Stephanie Bacon, Nicole Gruntz and Bradley Bacon, Jesse and Billy Somerville, Amanda Brown and Jason Verbeek. Also surviving are 26 great-grandchildren. Sister of Maurice Laliberte, Montreal, Annette Casey, New Brunswick, Venolia Casey, Wyoming, Jeannine Bacon, Sarnia and Aline Leblanc, New Brunswick. Predeceased by parents Jules & Marie Laliberte, sister Lina Thompson and brothers John and Raymond Laliberte. Lumina retired from S.P.D. (Central Supply) at St. Joseph’s Hospital. There will be no funeral home visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Antony Kolenchery on Wednesday, December 14 at Sacred Heart Church (Charlesworth at Lecaron Ave., Sarnia) at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
