Obituary of Barbara Gail Dougherty

DOUGHERTY, Barbara – Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Tuesday, January 2, 2012, Barbara Dougherty passed away with her family by her side.  Beloved wife of the late Ronald Dougherty (2003).  Survived by her brother Donald (Audrey) Walker, niece Maureen (Jim) Brown, nephews Paul (Wendy) Walker and Wayne (Marian) Walker.  Step-mother of Mark (Lorrie), Kevin (Lorraine) and Derrick (Ruth) Dougherty.  Sister-in-law to Joanna (John) Moore.  Barb will be lovingly remembered by Ron’s grandchildren, Cameron, Stephen and Samantha Dougherty as well as Pam, Greg, Chris and Mike Walker.  Also sadly missed by her good friends, Doris and Cynthia along with her cat Spook.  Barb and Ron made many great friends and memories while camping and boating over the years.  Barbara retired from Imperial Oil in 1999 after many years of service.  Special thanks to Dr. Kolano and Dr. Dostaler for their care and support. The memorial service will be held at McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.  Family and friends will be received after the service at the Smith Family Centre, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Sarnia Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St., Sarnia, N7T 7W8.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Barbara Dougherty in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
