Obituary of Kirsti Tuulikki Senyk

SENYK, Kirsti Tuulikki (Kilpinen) – Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Sumac Lodge, Sarnia on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Born in Lahti, Finland on March 20, 1923, Kirsti immigrated to Canada in 1949 and in 1950 married Andrej Senyk. Kirsti was very proud of her Finnish heritage, and active with the Ladies of Kalevala. She enjoyed spending time at her camp at Pike Lake, watching the beautiful sunsets. Loving mother to Marita (David) Bonk of Sarnia; dear Mummo to grand-daughters Kristin of London and Katie of Ottawa. Kirsti is also survived by brothers Erkki and Reino of Finland. Predeceased by her husband Andy (2010); parents Hella and Jalmari; sister Sivia and brothers Pertti and Raimo. As Kirsti wished, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date with details to follow. A special thank you to the amazing staff at Sumac Lodge for providing my mother all her care with dignity and respect.
