Obituary of Maria Caterina Fedoriw

FEDORIW, Maria Caterina- With dignity and peace surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health, Maria passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Leon (2002). She leaves her son Dennis (Wendy), daughter Sylvia (Leandro Mindo) and her grandchildren Cara, Christian and Julian. Dear sister of Eddo Pecile. Zia to Lisa (Kevin & Aiden Mossop) and Daniel Pecile.. Predeceased by her sister Helda (2002) and sisters-in-law Bianca Pecile (1999) and Laura Braun (2011). Maria was best known as owner of the Sarnia Tavern with her husband Leon from 1962 until 1987. Maria’s death has left a great emptiness in the hearts of many, but she will be remembered with much love and gratitude for all that she has given. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday from 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.  Cremation will follow.
