Obituary of John Myles Buchan

BUCHAN, John Myles – At St. Joseph’s Hospice on Thursday, April 12, 2012, John died peacefully with family by his side at the age of 72.  Beloved husband of Sri Mahani.  Loving father of Michael (Sachiko), Rachael (David) Webster and Sucipto.  Proud Pa of Ian, Isabel, Alex and Max.  Dear brother of Tony (Dorothy) Myles and William (Jeanette).  Predeceased by his first wife Sandy (nee Haughn) and parents John and Catherine. John was born in Scotland and came to Canada in 1965 as a mechanical engineer.   He enjoyed working in the UK, Canada, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia and Chile and was a member of the Professional Engineer’s of Ontario.  John was a world traveler enjoying bird watching on many of his trips and was an avid reader.  Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church (Bright’s Grove) on Tuesday, April 17th at 2 p.m.  In lieu of flowers or as an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Pt.
