Obituary of Reinaldo Mendonca

MENDONCA, Reinaldo Picanco - It was with great sadness, that on June 10th, 2012 with family by his side that we said goodbye to our loving husband, father and grandfather Reinaldo Picanco Mendonca, who passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 69. Reinaldo was born in Graciosa, Acores, Portugal on April 8, 1943. Dearly beloved husband of wife Maria Ligia Mendonca. Dear father of Maria Mendonca-Arruda (Fernando), Elizabeth Roestenberg (Jeffrey Jr.) and Nancy Mendonca. Loving grandfather of Corey Machado, Christina Machado and Lincoln Roestenberg. Dear brother of Maria Ortins (Abilio), Clarice Picanco (Irineu) of Sarnia and Erselina Silva, Helda Medina of Peabody, Massachussettes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by 2 brothers and parents Manuel & Ricarda Mendonca of Graciosa, Acores. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 7 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 1885 London Line, Sarnia, ON.
