Obituary of John Anthony Bishop

BISHOP, John Anthony - In his 69th year, on Monday, September 10, 2012, John departed from us too soon.  His endearing presence will be profoundly missed by Linda, his wife of 44 years, his son Adam, daughter Jillian, granddaughter Shiann and devoted companion Monty.  John is survived by his sister Patricia in Texas, and predeceased by parents Jim and Madge.  John's sense of humour and colourful opinions will remain as fond memories to the "good" sisters, in laws, and numerous friends in Grand Bend, London and Seven Lakes Florida.  Our sincere gratitude to all who supported us throughout John's illness; family and friends, doctors, nurses, coordinators, and volunteers at the London Cancer Centre, Grand Bend Medical Centre, CCAC, and St. Joseph's Hospice in Sarnia.  Cremation has taken place and, as per John's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation.  An afternoon of memories will be shared at Southcott Clubhouse, Grand Bend, on Sunday, September 23rd from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  Arrangements entrusted to McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 519-344-3131.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may forward memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N.
