Obituary of Pierre (Pete) Bisson
BISSON, Pierre Andre (Pete) – It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2012, after a long battle with lung disease, Pierre took his last breath at St. Joseph’s Hospice at the age of 76. He will be sadly missed by Mona (Cote), his wife of 53 years, daughters Nicole (Darrell), Rachel (Douglas), Judith and son Daniel (Katherine). Grandsons Jonah, Mitchell, Lucien, Roch and August will miss their pepere very much. Also survived by a sister Marguerite. Predeceased by parents Mendoza & Ida Bisson, brothers Gerald, Robert and Ernest, sisters Francoise, Madeleine and Sylvia. Pete will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends from Lac Talon (North Bay). Their cottage (Plage D’Or) was one of his greatest joys. He loved spending his summers in “God’s Country”. Pierre will be remembered for his parish activities especially his involvement with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Irish Miracle, Le Club Jolliet and Le Club de la Gaiete. His sense of humour will not be forgotten by many friends and co-workers (DuPont & Nova) made over the years. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Kathemo Makucha at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
