Obituary of Vito Pagano

PAGANO, Vito – Peacefully surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Francesca for 51 years. Dear father of the late Orazio, Joe (Lisa), Bright’s Grove, Salvatore, Sarnia, Antonio, Sarnia, Lucy, Point Edward, Angela, Point Edward and Domenico, Sarnia. Loving Nonno of Mya, Colin, Julia, Jonah, Carter, Azaidreia, Faith, Bella, Sal Jr., Francesca and Macelynn. Brother of  Graziella Siino, Italy, Orazio (Anna) Pagano, Italy and Rose (Frank) Proia, Sarnia. Brother-in-law of Gaspare Salerno, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews in Canada, the U.S. and Italy. Predeceased by parents Orazio & Lucia Pagano, sisters Mimma (Giovanni) Lucido and Maria Salerno. Vito landed in Canada in 1972, in the hope of greater family prosperity and brought his family here on June 20, 1973. He was retired from the Local 1086 Labourers Union. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Raju Allumpurath at St. Benedict’s Church on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 9 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum.
