VACLAVEK, Joseph – Suddenly at Bluewater Health on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the age of 78. Beloved husband to Mary (Waller) for 55 years. Dear father of Mark (Diane), Belle River, Ann Marie (Michael) Bridgman, Ilderton, David (Susan), London and John (Deb Szabo), Camlachie. Loving grandfather of Matthew, Michelle, Joshua, Kayla, Aidan, Andrew, James and Dana. Brother of Helen Kafun, Toronto and the late Frank Vaclavek, Toronto. Predeceased by parents Frank & Agnes Vaclavek. Joe graduated from the University of Toronto in 1956 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired from Dow Chemical after 37 years of service. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. with prayers being offered at 6:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. For those wishing, donations to Huron House Boys Home, P.O. Box, 260, Bright’s Grove, N0N 1C0 or St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N. Christina St., Sarnia, N7T 5W3 would be appreciated.
