Obituary of Pierina Giuliani

GIULIANI, Pierina (nee´ Cimetta) - Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on February 17, 2013 at the age of 82.  She will be greatly missed by her family: husband Giulio, daughter, Domenica Rastin and her husband Chris of Sarnia, daughter Antonetta Bailie and her husband John of Toronto, and grandchildren, Julianne, Christina, Clara, Catherine, Phillip, David and Joanna.  She will also be fondly remembered by sister Almerinda (the late Enrico) Rossi, brother John (Nella) Cimetta, and cousin, Assunta (the late Tony) Giancarlo, and by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Predeceased by her parents, Tommaso and Maria Cimetta and siblings, Mariannina, Pacifico and Antonio.  Pierina was born in Navelli, Italy in 1930 and emigrated to Canada in 1957.  Pierina was an active member of St. Peter’s Church and the St. Frances Cabrini C.W.L. for the part of her life spent in Canada.  She dedicated her life to her faith and her family.  Family and friends will be received at McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.  where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Peter Keller at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sarnia on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11 a.m.  Entombment will be at Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross Society, 416 East St., Sarnia, ON  N7T 6Y4.  Messages of condolences and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Pierina Giuliani in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
