BROWN, Delphine – Suddenly at home on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, Delphine Brown died at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Dr. Harry Brown. Loving mother of Leslie Vella & her husband Tony, Waterloo, Rick Brown & his wife Carol, Oakville, and Tracey Hoey and her husband Keith, Burlington. Cherished grandmother of Nathan (Natalie), Nikki, Spencer & Sasha Vella and Josh (Nadia) & Elise Hoey and Lisa Brown. Proud great grandmother of Drew and Kate. Predeceased by her parents Beryl & Harold Hunter and twin sister Jewell. Delphine was a registered nurse, graduating from St. Joseph's Hospital, London. She was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew's Church. Delphine had a passion for photography, quilting, knitting, needlepoint and loved to read. She loved to socialize, spending time with her family and many friends. Delphine will be missed but lovingly remembered by all those who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Delphine's Life will be held at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church on Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond Hodgson officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to service time. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 774 London Rd., Sarnia N7T 4Y1 or to St. Bartholomew's Church, 718 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia, N7V 2N4.
