Obituary of JoAnne Dawkins

DAWKINS, Elizabeth Joanne – It is with heavy hearts the children of Elizabeth JoAnne Dawkins – Sean and Christie – announce her passing on March 20, 2013 at Bluewater Health Palliative Care. JoAnne was the chosen daughter of Jean Bennett and Robert, now deceased, sister of Peter, and has left a legacy of happiness and courage to all of us. Her lengthy time of pain and efforts to recover were handled with faith, trust and acceptance. She was an outstanding example to all who knew her, of her strength and courage over the years. She had asked for a simple service and in keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at River City Vineyard (Mitton at Maria) on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held at River City Vineyard immediately following the visitation at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131. Donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St., Sarnia, N7T 7W8 or a personal charity would have pleased JoAnne greatly and will be much appreciated.
