Obituary of Rose Gertrude Thompson

THOMPSON- Rose, Gertrude – After a life well lived, Rose Thompson died at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia at the age of 91 on March 29, 2013. Beloved wife of the late James Thompson. Loving sister of Winnifred Kilbreath & husband Hugh, Sarnia. Sister & brother-law to Lola Thompson & late husband Bob, Sarnia. Dear aunt of Dan Thompson & wife Susan, Kathy Meade & husband Frank, Crystal Sivell & husband Pete, Sharon Kilbreath & husband Glen Davis, Carol Pace & husband Ed. Predeceased by her parents Charles & Lillian Hopkins. The family would like to say a special thank you to Rose's cherished friends, Gail Carroll and Rita Price, for all their love and attention through the years. Rose cherished their friendship. Also a thank you to the staff of Vision Nursing Home for their compassionate care through the years. Rose had a love for animals and especially cats. She was known for having a big heart and helping any animals in need. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Thursday, April 4th at 10 – 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 11 am in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel.
