Obituary of Hector MacKenzie Turner

TURNER, Hector MacKenzie – At Bluewater Health – Palliative Care on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Joan (Hardy). Dear father of Hector and his wife Sandra Stemp, Brampton, and Allan Turner, Toronto. Loving grandfather of Margaret Stemp-Turner. Predeceased by parents Hector & Edna Turner. Hector retired from Shell Canada in 1989 after 29 years of service in various locations across Canada.  He enjoyed extended summers at the cottage in Sioux Narrows where he spent many enjoyable hours fishing with good friends. Hector also loved to travel. He and Joan visited Newfoundland as recently as last year for their 50th wedding anniversary.  A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Clinic, 747 Baseline Rd., London, N6C 2R6 or Bluewater Health Foundation, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3.
