MICKALKO, Marie Blanche – Peacefully at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia on Sunday, May 26, 2013 Blanche Mickalko died one month before her 93rd birthday. Beloved wife of the late Peter Mickalko(1997). Dear mother of Noella Edwards & her husband Charles, Hamilton, Donald & his wife Rosemary, Camlachie, Roger & his wife Judy, Sarnia and Theresa Loupos & her husband George, Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. Blanche was a member of the St. Joseph's C.W.L. for over 50 years. She spent many years traveling the Middle East, Europe and organizing bus tours to the Shrines in Quebec. She spent the last five years at Vision Nursing and Rest Home. A big THANK YOU to all the wonderful 3rd floor staff at Vision for taking such excellent care of mom. Visitation at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 895 Champlain St., Sarnia on Wednesday, May 29th from 10 - 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Kathemo Makucha at St. Thomas Aquinas Church following visitation on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Vision Activities Fund, Vision Nursing Home, 229 Wellington St. Sarnia, N7T 1G9.
