Obituary of Helen Mundy

MUNDY, Helen – April 15, 1911-July 2, 2013 On Tuesday July 2, 2013, Helen Mundy passed away at the age of 102 at Twin Lakes Terrace. Helen was predeceased by her husband Hugh (2002). Dear mother of Joseph (Nora), J. Michael (Pamela), Charles, and Mary Helen (Ray) Morreale. She was the loving grandmother of Christopher (Rena) Mundy, Laura (Keith) Wells, Patricia (Jeff) Flamminio, Mark (Amy) Mundy, Kim (John) Tino, Andrew Morreale and Michael Morreale. Also surviving are thirteen great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Marie Baechler, Rhea Lannan and Teresa Hamel. Helen was a long time member of St. Peter's Church and the Catholic Women's League. She was a teacher with the L.C.R.C.S.S.B. and was a vice-principal of St. Peter's School for several years before her retirement. She enjoyed many years of retirement with painting and attending hobby classes with the White Cane Club. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Twin Lakes staff for the wonderful care given to our mother. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Monday July 8th at 11:00 a.m. a.m. Interment will be at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to CNIB, 749 Baseline Rd., London, ON N6C 2R6 or the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 106 East St. S., Sarnia. ON N7T 3R1.
