Obituary of Mary Ann Firth
FIRTH- Mary Ann Firth (McAnulty) Surrounded by her family at St. Joseph's Hospice on Saturday, July 6, 2013, Mary Ann died at the age of 70. Beloved wife of the late Michael Firth. Loving sister of Emily Kit & her husband Dan, Brechin and Francis McAnulty, Toronto. Cherished Aunt of Jonathan Kit & his wife Donna, Milton. Also survived by many cousins. Predeceased by her parents Bernard & Margaret McAnulty. Mary Ann was an elementary teacher with the Sarnia Lambton Catholic School Board for over 20 years. She had a passion for special needs children and felt honoured to teach them. Mary Ann loved animals and will be especially missed by the family dog Manny. The family would like to express their gratitude to Maureen Morkin, Brenda Frezza, Carol Hall and Sean McAnulty for the friendship they shared with Mary Ann and the constant support they gave her. Also thank you to Dr. Glen Maddision, Dr. A. Xenacosta, the nurses from CCAC for their compassionate care and many other friends who supported her through the years. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday July 14th, from 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Festus Komolafe at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, July 15th at 1p.m. Cremation to follow with private interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery at a later date.
