NEWMAN, ROSEMARY ALICE (nee Peachey) – At Twin Lakes Terrace, on Sunday, November 24th, Rosemary Newman died at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Newman. Cherished Aunt of Norma Jean Edwards (husband Terry). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her parents Amy & Edward Peachey, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Rosemary was born and raised in Point Edward. She had a passion for her church in which she was a member for over 50 years. Rosemary was a Deputy Clerk at the Sarnia Small Claims Court until the year 2000. She enjoyed living at the Marquis and socializing with the residents. The family would like to thank all the staff, doctors and caregivers at Bluewater Health, Continuing Care in Petrolia, Fiddicks Nursing Home and Twin Lakes Terrace, for the compassionate care that Rosemary received. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at Point Edward Presbyterian Church on Thursday, November 28th, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shirley Murdock officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia (519-344-3131). As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St. Pt.
