Obituary of Ron Heasty

HEASTY, JAMES RONALD – At Bluewater Health on November 26, 2013, James "Ron" Heasty died at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Jacqueline for 58 years. Loving father of Susan Heasty-Pearson (Byron), John Heasty (Melanie) and the late James Heasty(1994). Cherished grandfather of Stacey Baldwin, Denise Littleford (Perry James), Michele Littleford (Brent), Matthew Heasty, Marin Heasty and Brileigh Heasty. Great-grandfather of Jered, Sydney, Sonny, Jalil, Jasiah, Jacqueline and Olivia. Predeceased by his parents Joseph & May Heasty, brother Joseph "Buzz" Heasty. Also survived by his nephew Brad Heasty and several cousins in Ireland. Family was the most important thing in Ron's life. He was an extremely giving and compassionate man always willing to help others before himself. Ron enjoyed working on the genealogy of his family and was a passionate Leafs fan. Ron was a veteran police officer with the Metropolitan Toronto Police Department. He loved his labs, the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and doing carpentry. Ron was a very proud man and he will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, (519-344-3131).
