Obituary of Jeffrey Boire

BOIRE, JEFFREY, N. - Surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health on Sunday, January 5th, 2014, Jeffrey Boire died at the age of 94, just two days before celebrating his 95th birthday. Beloved husband of the late Blanche (2013) for 73 years. Loving father of Marcel Boire & his late wife Judy, Sarnia; Elaine Psutka & husband Mike, Fergus; Maurice Boire & wife Charmaine, Philippines; Claire Campbell & husband Dan, Sarnia; Norm Boire & wife Joan, Sarnia; Monique Janson & husband Dave, Corunna and Don Boire, Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of Lisa, Kyle, Carl, Michael, Linda, Theresa, Michelle, Terry, Kristal, Steven, Travis, Rachel, Corey, Nicole and Forrest. Great-grandfather of Jessica, Samantha, Nicholas, Matthew, Andrew, Kristin, Zoe, Hailey, Taylor, Jake, Ryan and Haylea. Predeceased by parents Narcisse & Virginia Boire, siblings Andre Boire, Laurette Cazabon, Florence Bonneau, Leo Boire, Oscar Boire and Alcide Boire and a grandaughter, Patricia Psutka. Jeffrey loved attending auctions to collect lighters and was fondly known as "The Lighter Man". He also took every opportunity to ride around town on his beloved scooter. He was a proud retiree of Polymer Corp. Ltd. in Sarnia. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Afton Park Place for their care and compassion to both Jeffrey and Blanche during their time there. Jeffrey will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered for his quick wit by all who knew and loved him. In honour of Jeffrey's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (519-344-3131) Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
