Obituary of Elisa Lupi

LUPI, Elisa – Our Hearts are filled with sorrow for the passing of our loving mother & nonna. At Trillium Villa on Friday, February 7, 2014, Elisa died peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Pasquale Lupi (1981). Loving mother of Ada Dontas (James Robb), Corunna the late Ben Lupi (2003) (Joyce), Sarnia and Maria Baldesarra (Deni), Sarnia. Proud Nonna of John (Carol), Sarnia, Frank (Shannon), Sarnia, April-Marie (Steve Valvasori), Hamilton, Justin (Kelsey), Alberta, Daniel, Hamilton, Christopher, Sarnia, Noah, Sarnia and Great-Nonna of Maddy, Frankie and Drake. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Giovanni & Emilia Rotondi, sisters Francesca Rotondi and Assunta (Loretto) Domenichini and brothers Fiorino (Pasqua) Rotondi and Frank (Gina) Rotondi. Elisa immigrated to Canada in 1962 with her husband Pasquale and two children, then adding to their family a third child, beginning their journey of a better life, their new home, Canada. With gratitude we thank the staff at Trillium Villa Nursing Home for their kindness and compassionate care for our mother. Special appreciation to Beth Stoesser. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will offered at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
