Obituary of E. Allan Webb

WEBB, E. Allan – Passed away at Marshall Gowland Manor, Sarnia on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the age of 83. Allan was born, raised and was a long time resident of South Porcupine until moving to Sarnia later in life. Beloved husband of Leetta J. Webb, Sarnia. Dear step-father of Denise (John) Battaglio, Byron Centre, Michigan. Uncle of Dianne (Bill) Smith, South Porcupine. Great uncle of Dean (Pam) Miller, Waterloo and Kelly (Reg) Sasserville, South Porcupine. Also surviving are 6 step-grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Bentley & Evelyn Webb, brother Tom (Sylvia) Webb, sisters Iris (Howard) Dixon and Thora (Cecil) Rilley and step-son Daniel Ball. Allan worked at Placerdome Mine for 42 years. He was passionate about his golf and curling and enjoyed traveling. He was a Lifetime member of the Porcupine & Aurum Masonic Lodge #506 & 704 Temiskaming District. Visitation will be held at the Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Ave., South on Saturday, October 16 from 11-12 noon. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12 noon. Saturday. Private interment will take place in Tisdale Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Allan Webb in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 18th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
