Obituary of Emidio Benacquista

BENACQUISTA, Emidio (Ben) – Peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 62 years of Antonia. Dear father of Angela & her husband Carmine Bonifacio, Woodbridge and Domenica (Mamie) & her husband Loreto Gismondi, Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Adriano (Angela) Bonifacio, Woodbridge, Analisa (Michael) Nasso, Woodbridge, Marc (Heather) Gismondi, Sarnia and Anna (Darryl) Kabat, Sarnia. Great-grandfather of Nicholas and Victoria Bonifacio, Matthew and Adam Nasso, Ava Gismondi and Adam and Joseph Kabat. Brother of Maria, Italy and Santina, Venezuela. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews in Sarnia. Predeceased by sister Giovanna and brother Domenico. Emidio was a long time member of Labourers Local 1089. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jan Pochwala at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum.
