Obituary of Margaret Todesco

TODESCO, Margaret Ann (Farrell) (August 7, 1931-August 12, 2010) – Margaret passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health with her husband of 51 years, John at her side. Much loved mother of Charles (Wendy) Todesco, Wawa, Charlene (Charles) Jordan, Campbellville, Joanne (Ken) Quesnelle, Toronto and predeceased by daughter Laureen Todesco (2006). Loving grandmother of Jonathan and Rebecca Todesco and Claire Quesnelle. Sister of Elizabeth Farrell, Sarnia. Predeceased by her parents John G. Farrell & Mary Ann Emily (Gardner) and her brother the Rev. Fr. J.W. Farrell. Margaret attended grade school and high school in London, Ontario and graduated with her B.Sc. Nursing from the University of Western Ontario in 1954. Margaret moved to Sarnia where she was employed by the Victorian Order of Nurses. While raising her family, Margaret worked for the St. John Ambulance teaching first aid and then taught Health Sciences at Lambton College before retiring. Margaret was an active board member of the Lambton Elderly Outreach, St. John Ambulance and the Ontario March of Dimes. Margaret enjoyed gardening, spending time at her cottage near Lion’s Head, Ontario and playing bridge with her friends. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her many friends and colleagues for her kindness and compassion. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N. on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Margaret would be pleased if those wishing to make memorial donations would consider the three agencies that she served as a board member, Lambton Elderly Outreach, 4486 London Line, R.
