Obituary of Dario Maola

MAOLA, Dario – Surrounded by his family, Dario Maola of Sarnia passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the age of 62. Dario leaves behind his loving family including his wife of 41 years Janet, sons Carlo (Joanne) and Chad (Crystal) and grandchildren Cache and Cora. He is survived by his brother Tony (Olga) and sister Emily (Ray Blakeney). Predeceased by parents Francesco (Frank) & Maria Maola. Dario was born on July 16, 1948 in Casalveri, Italy and moved to Canada in 1958. He enjoyed 26 years as a successful contractor while operating DMW Electrical Instrumentation Inc. Dario had a great love in providing for his family, his work and especially being a grandpa. Dario will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ross Bartley at St. Benedict’s Church on Tuesday, August 10 at 1 p.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who so desire to make a donation in Dario’s memory to the Big Brothers of Sarnia Lambton, 10 Lorne Cres., DOW Centre for Youth, Sarnia, N7S 1H8. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, (519-344-3131).
