Obituary of Terence William Holmes

HOLMES, Terence William – After a long and courageous battle, Terry passed away peacefully while surrounded by family and friends, on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Bluewater Health, Mitton Site. He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy; his devoted sons Andrew and wife Kim, their sons Spencer and Curtis; Geoff and partner Annette, their daughters Sophie and Rebecca; his daughter Tina and partner Ted Kimpton and their daughter Deanna. Brother-in-law of the late Gayle Talaskavich and uncle of Nathan and wife Krista. Much loved son-in-law to Jack Metcalfe and loving nephew of Joyce Prevett. Predeceased by brothers Peter and David. Brother to Pat and Ray Howe, Brenda and Mick Coussins and Barbara and the late Terry Hudson. Godfather of Cavin Morton and a special friend to Lisa Hamilton. Terry was a lifetime draughtsman which took him to many parts of the world. He served in the RAF as a radio operator. All are invited to a Celebration of Terry’s life at 3587 Queen St., Camlachie on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Please join with us and share your memories of when you met, how you knew one another and the special times you shared with Terry. In honour of Terry’s love for pets and nature, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sarnia & District Humane Society, or you may consider planting a tree in his memory. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would also be appreciated by the family.
