Obituary of Joan Hitchcock

HITCHCOCK, Joan - Peacefully at Vision Nursing Home, Joan Hitchcock, born in 1920 in Leister, England and formerly of Grand Bend, Forest, and Belleville passed away on Friday, November 2, 2007. Predeceased by her husband Percy and her three beloved sons Graham, Keith and Ryan. Thanks to the excellent staff, the residents and their families at Vision Nursing Home and Bluewater Health, Norman Site and to Mary McNeil for being like family to her since she moved to Sarnia. Special thanks to Aurie Prendiville for arranging for Marilyn Burr to be her caregiver and bringing her much happiness the past five years. Joan was a wonderful lady; a person who never complained. She was Mother of the Year in 1962 of her three sons who had Muscular Dystrophy. Thanks to Dr. Gannon and the staff at Vision for the wonderful care and compassion that they gave Joan. A private burial will take place at Belleville Cemetery, where Joan will be buried with her family. Arrangements by McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, Sarnia, 519-344- 3131.
