BELLIVEAU, Georgette - 31 Aug 1927 to 23 Oct 2007. Georgette Marie Belliveau (nee Leger), age 80, died peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Tues, October 23, 2007, with her family at her side. Loving wife of beloved husband Camille. A proud and loving mother, she will be sadly missed by her daughters Yolande Belliveau and partner Cliff Oelschlaeger of Guelph ON, Louise and Tom Heath of Sarnia ON, Lilianne and Neil Bok of Brandon MB, Marie and Jim Weatherby of Halifax NS, Bernice and Gary Spradbrow of Thedford ON, Michelle and Paul Elliott of Ilderton ON. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Georgette is pre-deceased by her parents Emily and Hector Leger of Shediac NB, brothers Henry and Leo, sister Lorette Sarvary, and brother-in-law Louis Sarvary. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Anita (Fred) Mitchell, Lilianne (Stan) Frankoski, John (Margaret) Leger, Arthur (Rita) Leger, Hectorine (Alvin) Leger, Jean (Robert) Telfer, Bernadette (Val) Desjardins, and Betty Leger-St Pierre; her in-laws Ovide (Thérèse) Belliveau, Joe (Rhea) Belliveau, Hectorine (Albert) Maillet, Stella Belliveau, Jeanita (Ronald) Allain, Ronald Belliveau, and Urbain (Brenda) Belliveau. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Georgette will be missed dearly by her family, many close friends and the ladies of the CWL. Georgette's greatest gift to both her husband and children was her undying devotion and commitment to family and church, nurturing a love and affection amongst all. Georgette's true testament is the friends and relationships that she leaves behind. Georgette retired from Sears after 17 years of service, was an active member of the C.W.L., and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Friday, October 26th at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 774 London Rd., Sarnia N7T 4Y1. Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Georgette Belliveau in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
