Obituary of Sylvester R. Chapeskie

CHAPESKIE, SYLVESTER RAYMOND passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of 57 years of Martha (Jacques). Dear father of Wayne, Sarnia, Victoria Wolfe & her husband Ed, Durham and the late Diane Holyk, Sudbury. Grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 5. Brother of Sister Mary Bissonette, Sudbury and Bearnie Bissonette, Barry's Bay. Predeceased by sisters Lillian Ronholm, Julie Ronholm and Martha Bissonette and brothers Edward and Artie Chapeskie. Sylvester retired from City Works in 1989 after 35 years of service. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
