Obituary of Maria Catharina Kock

KOCK, Mary (Maria Catharina Kock) died suddenly at Bluewater Health - Mitton Site on Tuesday, September 4, 2007. Loving wife to Dick Kock, she helped him build up Huronview Nurseries. She loved the greenhouse best and tended the flowers - including orchids - with him for many years. They traveled the world for pleasure and as orchid collectors and growers. Born in Holland, Dick and Mary came to Canada in 1950. Mary will be sadly missed by son John Cook (Cynthia) and grandchildren Jonathan, Patricia and Daniel; by daughter Helen Rykens (Dan McDermott). Predeceased by daughter Irene and son Henry. Lovingly remembered by niece Judy Friesen in Toronto and many relatives in Michigan and Holland. Special thanks to the wonderful nursing staff of the 4th floor Cardiac Care. Cremation will take place, followed by a private family gathering. Arrangements by McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
